Does the Viking Home have a toilet and shower onboard?
Yes. The Viking Home is one of our few campers with an indoor toilet and shower — full bathroom independence, no campsite dependency. Water tank capacity is sized for several days of off-grid use.
Can I drive the Viking Home in winter or in Arctic Norway?
Yes. Every Norway Campers rental — including the Viking Home — comes with winter tyres (October–April) and a diesel parking heater that stays on overnight. Our vans are rated for Tromsø-winter conditions. For deep-snow back-country gravel roads, our 4WD models (Grand Camper 4WD and Atlas Camper 4WD) add traction confidence.
Can I take the Viking Home one-way between Oslo and Tromsø?
Yes. The Viking Home is available for one-way rentals between our Oslo and Tromsø depots. We also publish discounted relocation offers when we need to move this van between depots — see our One-Way Offers page.
What's included in the Viking Home rental rate?
From 1.980 NOK per day the Viking Home includes: unlimited kilometres anywhere in mainland Norway, AutoPASS toll chip (tolls invoiced at cost, no surcharge), winter tyres in season, full kitchen kit (stove, sink, fridge, pots and pans), basic insurance with 17,500 NOK deductible, and one-way option to the other depot. Bedding and 24/7 roadside support are available as add-ons.
